How CARES Supports Families
At CARES, we believe that strong families build strong futures. That’s why we focus on supporting both the family as a whole and each individual child. Our goal is simple: to reduce stress and create more harmony at home. When families feel less overwhelmed, they become more empowered and resilient. That’s where we come in.
Positive Behavior Support
CARES offers positive behavior support as a standalone service or as part of our wrap-around care. Our goal is to help children thrive across all environments—home, school, and community. When you enroll in this service:
- A dedicated CARES Coordinator works directly with your child, your family, and other team members.
- Together, we’ll create and maintain a personalized behavior support plan.
- The coordinator can provide training for:
- Family caregivers
- Direct-care staff
- Other professionals involved in your child’s care
- Ongoing support may include:
- Team meetings
- Progress updates
- In-person visits
- Consultations and check-ins
Wrap-Around Support
Our wrap-around support is designed for families facing more complex challenges, including:
- Children placed temporarily out of the home
- Families at risk of out-of-home placement
- Households experiencing high levels of stress
Each family is paired with a CARES Coordinator who provides hands-on support across various settings. This typically includes all the things offered through our behavioral support and may also include:
- Attending doctor or therapy appointments
- Participating in school or childcare meetings
- Consulting with psychiatric care providers
- Helping identify and coordinate in-home care services
Families receive individualized support, along with quarterly team meetings and regular check-ins to ensure progress and collaboration.
